Experimental Analysis of Mechanical Properties in E-Glass Fiber Pipe | IJSTE JOURNAL VOL 2, ISS 8

Experimental Analysis of Mechanical Properties in E-Glass Fiber Pipe

Now a day’s composite material products are gently used in fiber industry and automobile applications. Because of it light weight, Low cost and high strength. There are various varieties of synthetic fibers are the properties were identified. But glass fiber is give high strength in low cost. The fibers it will be mixing resin to get good mechanical properties. In this work use E-glass fiber, Resin and hardener to make a composite fiber pipe. We fabricated a standard test specimen in each E-glass fiber (E-glass fiber, Resin + hardener). There addition of additives has to be done to fabricate composite fiber pipe. Finally Hardener is added improve it hardness separately and tested in Micro Hardness Test, Universal Testing Machine, from analysis we found that composite E-glass fiber, Resin + hardener got better Hardness.

Modal testing of Reinforced Concrete Floor using Reaction Mass Shaker (Direct method) | IJSTE JOURNAL VOL 1, ISS 10

Modal testing of Reinforced Concrete Floor using Reaction Mass Shaker (Direct method)

Modern structures are becoming more and more slender but with improved stiffness with use of large number of materials in combination, making the predictions of dynamic characteristics of such structures extremely difficult for the analysis using commercially available general purpose finite element softwares. On the other hand, if a building floor is properly excited and the input force and the resulting responses are accurately measured with proper hardware, the dynamic characteristics can be found out without much error. In direct method of analysis, the input force is generated by the load cells provided. The present work is focused on actual physical measurement of input force of a reaction mass shaker to a typical building floor to determine the floor dynamics. A case study on a double storey Laboratory floor establishes the advantages of this kind of combined experimental and numerical methods.

Analysis of Dished Head and Skirt Joint of Pressure Vessel using FEA Method | IJSTE JOURNAL VOL 2, ISS 1

Analysis of Dished Head and Skirt Joint of Pressure Vessel using FEA Method

There is no any industry without Pressure vessel. Pressure vessel has wide applications as nuclear power plants, thermal power plants, refinery and many other such industries. Usually the design of pressure vessel is according to codes like ASME, British standards etc. In pressure vessel, dish is supported to skirt by weld. Which have applied by internal pressure load, self-weight, weight of fluid used in vessel, wind load and seismic load. This joint should be important while designing so that it can withstand that various load. The analysis is carried out in ASME section VIII, Div I. The model made in Creo/Pro-E and then imported in ANSYS R15 and simulation checked with ASME code.
